I had that problem, but I noticed that I started drinking alot of milk and ate alot of eggs and out of nowhere, my hair grew so fast. My skin also was healthier and my nails grew out of control. I have no need for acrylic or anything as they are sooo strong. But there is no miracle stuff out there.

1.) Use lots of shampoo and conditioner- It gives you volume so it looks longer.

2.) Stand in cold weather or air-conditioned places for a long period of time- feeling cold makes your body "feel" the necessary to grow more hair to give warmth to your body.

It really does affect because that is what I do when I had a disastrous hair-cut.
