i have short hair, i wanna grow it long like rocker long but my hair is extremly thick and it dosent get long just really puffy ive tried to grow it three times and had to cut it due to it looking bad plllleeeaaasssee help, you guys are my last hope.

You have to understand one thing - and i had the same problem you mentioned - you're going to look stupid for about 12 months. Once the hair has enough natural weight to hold itself down you'll be fine. The important thing is to brush it to keep it from getting tangled up with it gets poofy like that, and if you have to (i didn't) use hair products, but that damages the hair and you don't get that au naturelle feeling.

Go to a good hair dresser and tell them what you want accomplish. There are many options to help you in this transitional period such as thinning sheers and special shampoos.

you could style the heck out of it to keep it from looking to dork-o-rific... but take it from a guy with thick hair to the middle of my back: you just have to suck it up and deal with a few months or a year of looking like an idiot in order to get to where you want to be.

Use conditoner no shampoo for a while it will smooth your hair a bit. Avoid alchol in hair products.

well for starters you will have to brush it way more. Mkae sure it is clean and well taken care of. Also with growing out your hair there will be a little time where no matter what you will look bad. Just give it some time and it will get better. also you might want to look into chemical relaxer. It is a lot of work, but it will work fine in the end.

Use MOISTURIZING (only) shampoo and/or conditioner. Over time, as it gets longer, straighten it with straightening iron and foil. I hope you got a female friend that will help you. I keep my hair short, Due to the SAME reason. I hope you know that it takes time, and a LOT of maintenance. That's as much as I can help. Find a hairstylist at a salon (not a barber) that can further help you. hahahaha! This was easy! Don't stress yourself out man! I hope you're patient!

or invest in a straightener

when its straight , you can always make the messy look work for you !

messy hair is hot. but not when u use gel . el'tacky. use fine hair spray.

I am trying to grow mine out too. i have been looking online and found great reviews on using regular mayonnaise (not imitation) put it in your hair wrap a towel around it and leave in 15 mins to an hour depending on how dry your hair is and then rinse with cold water but make sure you rinse good or your hair will be oily. you can also use flat beer or vinegar cause they contain cholesterol too. ps. wash your hair with warm water first
